Freightliner Chassis Owners Club - FCOC 10th Anniversary 1995 - 2005 Updated 4-28-08 The Freightliner Chassis Owners Club (FCOC) was founded by Irv Steele and his wife Elaine in 1994. It is a chapter of the Family Motor Coach Association (FMCA) and has grown over the years to over 5100+ members across the United States and Canada. In order to join this chapter you must be an FMCA member in good standing, and owner of an FMCA qualifying coach that is on a John Deere, Oshkosh, or Freightliner Chassis. Free first year membership is provided by Freightliner to those purchasing a new chassis. See Membership page for details The purpose of our chapter is to promote social, recreational, and informational exchange activities. We hold two chapter meetings each year, one at each of the FMCA International Conventions. Rallies are generally held after these FMCA national meetings. Freightliner Custom Chassis Corp. supports our club and brings a MH chassis for technical reviews and discussions. In addition, they bring factory techs to help with FL chassis problems. This help is very much appreciated and a valuable perk for club members. Rally Information Our Yakima, WA rally this August following the FMCA Convention in Redmond, OR was a great rally. Super food, neat wine country tour, Camp Freightliner classes, neat chassis tech seminar. See the Rally Page for pictures. In March, 2007 we held a FCOC Rally at Lazy Days RV Rally Park in Florida following the FMCA Convention in Perry, GA. The rally was great fun with lots of food and fellowship. In March, 2006 we held a FCOC Rally at Beaudry RV in Tucson, AZ following the FMCA Convention in Pomona, CA. The Tucson Rally included tour of the AMARC Center (aircraft bone yard) at Davis Monthan AFB and a great tour at the nearby Pima Air & Space Museum [see rally page for pics]. In August, 2006 we held a FCOC rally in Marion, NC following the FMCA convention in Charlotte, NC at the Lowe's Motor Speedway [NASCAR race track]. Newsletter In addition to the meetings and rallies, we publish a newsletter, the Freightliner Flyer, quarterly. The newsletter comes with your membership. Detail information on all officers is listed on the last page of the newsletter. The Officers button on this page will direct you to a page which provides general information only.
